If you need help when we are closed
Call 999 in an emergency.
A medical emergency is a situation in which the health of a person is at high risk of deteriorating rapidly without immediate medical attention.
For example, chest pains, increasing difficulty in breathing, impaired consciousness and any of the signs of a stroke (facial weakness, inability to lift a limb or slurred speech) constitute an emergency.
In a medical emergency, you can access urgent paramedical help by calling 999. If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111.
In non-emergency:
Call 111 when it's a concern, but less urgent than 999.
The NHS non-emergency number.
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It's fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
