The easiest and quickest way to order medication is via the NHS App.
- The App allows you to order at any time of the day.
- You can also see when your medication request has been completed on the App.
- As the whole process is electronic your prescription is produced much faster and the chances of errors are reduced.
- If you do not already have the NHS App you can download it from the NHS website.
In Writing
You can either complete the repeat prescription slip included with your medication or write down your medication request on the slips available at the practice.
Please ensure that you include the full name and dosage of your medication to avoid any delay or error.
Useful Information:
- To allow sufficient time to process your prescription we ask that you order 5 working days in advance.
- The practice will not produce any prescription request received more than 10 days in advance.
- If for any reason you require your medication sooner than usual or require a longer supply please explain the reason for your request when ordering.
- Always check your new prescription for any important information, such as appointment reminders or test requests.
The majority of prescriptions are now sent electronically to the pharmacy. You can choose which pharmacy you would like your medication to be sent to. This is called a nomination. To nominate your pharmacy please do so via the NHS App or visit your pharmacy and ask them to do this for you.
